On arrival @ the venue you are confronted with Steve the Doorman who asks for your Entrance Fee of just £3 which goes towards a different local Charity for each event, plus this years Ely Feast, itself a Charitable Community Organisation and lastly, if enough "Hillman Hunters" show up, the Band..!

£50 Well done to "Duvet" who are current leaders of the Community Fund Raising Live Music @ PURE Bands..!

DUVET are a musically competent covers band playing songs in the line of The Stereophonics to the Sexpistols.

I found the acoustics of the Venue quite good, better than expected although quite loud. The in-house sound system give a very wide sound and good vocal "cut-though" which usually lets "local" bands down.

The venue and stage area put me in mind of a 60's Pop Club TV Studio and the Lighting, though under-used at this Gig makes for a pleasurable asthetic experience.

What about the band..?
Great, if PUNK is your nostalgia then I defy you not to get jiggy to Songs like "Babylon's Burning", "God Save the Queen".
If you like the new "indie" Rock Pop then songs like "Have a nice day" is sure to satisfy.

I would have personally liked the Singer to talk to me a bit more to fill up the pregnant pauses between classic songs but, hell, what do expect from a local band..?

I Expect I will be there again in 2 weeks time and I also EXPECT 2 C U there 2..!
