Real Numbers Gig - The Score;
Money Raised for
thirty quid to The Ely Autistic Society.
£30 Well done to "Real Numbers" who put on a brave show to an intimate croud..!

Bono of U2 once said he wanted to write the songs people would sing along with at parties. Well, thats exactly the kind of thing Real Numbers love playing...

Real Number's are a 3 piece "covers" band from Sutton playing classics such as Fire by REM, various songs of The Beatles, Changing Man, Paul Weller and other famous songs we all know and love...

The group are a very proficient covers band making more than enough noise from the 3 members and performing very acceptable renditions of favorite ex chart songs.

NEW - THE BIT IN THE MIDDLE

New to the L!VE G!Gs @ PURE
we proudly present
"The Bit in the Middle"

From now on between the 2 stints of the main attraction the Mic will be thrown open to any Singer / Guitarist who has a need to perform..!

At the Real Numbers gig we were entertained by Local Goth / Folk Singer Song Writer, "Sir Robert, The Wondergnome" who played 3 songs to a very appreciative audience.

If you fancy filling "The bit in the Middle" turn up on the night and have a word with Fil or send him an email anytime. If you email Fil will gaurentee you spot, on the night it might be tight..!

There will be a Classic Ovation Acoustic Guitar available on the night so no need to bring your own and you will get a "write up" here and the chance to include any messages about forth coming performances or to potential future band members.

A little unrehearsed here and there but this band has not been together long.
Like Michael Stipe, the singer Roger used a music stand for his notes but that didn't prevent him forgetting the words to songs the audience were singing along to..!
Roger says, "Ive never wanted to be a big star... but I always wanted to be a great musician" , well keep practising "Rog" !:-)

Andrew the drumist kept good time thoughout the night although at times his contorted face may have implied it was hard work..!
Andrew is quoted on their web site as "one hell of a drummer" although we know "ee's NOT the messiah, eeh's a VERY NAUGHTY BOY! "

Anil played a "wicked Axe" Eugene with all the right sounds from his excellent guitar and amp gear and the talent to use it..!

Anil says of himself...
" ...when I play one of my guitar intros, I want it to sound like something emerging from a dream; a vividly remembered bundle of sounds and sensations we once knew and
loved, grew up with, which became part of us...."
